Small pieces of natural Turquoise with vivid light blue to blue green color variations and characteristic natural structures. The material shows a harmonious combination of intense turquoise shades and contrasting matrix areas, giving each piece an individual and decorative character. The mostly smooth to slightly silky surfaces emphasize the typical appearance of this well known copper mineral.

Geology & origin

Turquoise is a hydrous copper aluminium phosphate mineral that forms in the oxidized zones of copper rich deposits. Its characteristic blue to blue green coloration is mainly caused by the copper content. Dilijan in Armenia is known for various mineral occurrences and produces natural Turquoise in appealing color variations and compact formations that are appreciated by collectors and lapidary enthusiasts.
