Special Connection to Mikon Mineralienkontor

A substantial proportion of the phonolite material used for the mineralogical investigations originated from our mineral assortment. The authors purchased this material from Mikon Mineralienkontor and subsequently carried out detailed mineralogical examinations. Using microscopy and mineralogical analysis, they identified and documented a wide variety of mineral species, crystal formations and characteristic intergrowths.

An important part of the mineralogical diversity presented in this publication was therefore investigated using material supplied by our company. The book illustrates the remarkable mineral discoveries that can be made even within seemingly inconspicuous pieces of phonolite rock.
