Smithsonite, Calcite, Rosasite xls; Barbara Mine, Laurion, Greece; Scab
Smithsonite, Calcite and Rosasite crystals. Small cabinet specimen for mineral collectors.
This versatile small cabinet specimen unites three attractive minerals from the classic locality of Laurion, Greece. Bright apple-green smithsonite in small, lustrous crystals covers large parts of the display face, while pale white to yellowish calcite appears alongside fibrous bluish-green rosasite along the edges and upper zones of the piece. The contrasting colors between green tones, pale host rock and white crusts create a visually rich and varied appearance.
A striking specimen with typical paragenesis from the historic Barbara Mine near Laurion.
