This Shattuckite cabochon from Ajo, Arizona, features an intense blue color with attractive turquoise green areas and natural patterns. Measuring approx. 39 x 30 mm, this unique specimen is well suited for collectors, mineral enthusiasts, or the creation of distinctive jewelry and decorative objects. The surface has been shaped and smoothed but not highly polished. The flat underside provides stable placement and facilitates further use.

Geology & Origin

Shattuckite is a rare copper silicate mineral known for its vivid blue to blue green colors. It was first described from the famous Shattuck Mine in Arizona and commonly occurs alongside other copper minerals. The Ajo region is one of the classic copper mining districts of the American Southwest and is renowned for its colorful mineral occurrences.
