Richellite from Richelle, Liège, Belgium – One Miniature specimen

The offered Miniature specimen consist of very rich Richellite material from the type locality at Richelle near Liège, Belgium. The specimens show the characteristic yellowish-brown to ochre, fine-grained to crusty mineralization and may additionally contain other rare phosphate minerals. As natural specimens, they vary in shape, size and appearance. 

Geology & Origin

Richelle is the type locality of Richellite and is situated on the grounds of a former monastery near Liège, Belgium. This rare phosphate occurs there together with other phosphate minerals in a distinctive secondary mineralization. Material from this classic locality is difficult to obtain today and is therefore particularly interesting for systematic mineral collections.
