Pushcharovskite crystals from the Salsigne Mine, France, Gerd Tremmel collection –  small cabinet specimen as unique piece

This small cabinet specimen displays extensively developed Pushcharovskite crystals from the Salsigne Mine, France, from the Gerd Tremmel collection. The intensely green Pushcharovskite crystals cover large areas of the surface and form a uniform, finely structured crystalline texture. Their dense development gives the specimen a cohesive and harmonious appearance with a clearly recognizable crystalline character. The rich coloration combined with the broad crystal coverage makes this specimen an impressive example of this rare copper mineral.

Geology & Origin

The Salsigne Mine in France is a classic locality for arsenic bearing copper minerals. Pushcharovskite formed here as a secondary copper arsenate under oxidizing conditions within the weathering zone of the deposit. The locality is well known for its diversity of rare secondary minerals and provides characteristic reference specimens for systematic and specialized mineral collections.
