Albite (Clevelandite) crystals from the Aris Quarry, Windhoek, Namibia – Min as unique piece

This unique specimen shows an assemblage of small albite crystals of the Clevelandite variety, appearing in white to pale grey aggregates. The crystals are tabular in habit and create a clear contrast to the greenish-grey matrix. The fine crystal structure is especially well visible in the lower part of the specimen.

The piece comes from the Aris Quarry near Windhoek in Namibia, a classic locality for pegmatite minerals. Albite belongs to the feldspar group and crystallizes in the triclinic system. The Clevelandite variety typically forms platy crystals and is well known for its delicate tabular structures. In this form, albite is both aesthetically appealing and mineralogically significant, making it a valued collector’s mineral.
