Moonstone crystals (!!) from Mexico – miniature specimen
This Min shows Moonstone from Mexico with light, partly pink-beige to yellowish color variations. The crystal aggregates are compact, translucent white to softly shimmering, typical for Feldspar-rich Moonstone occurrences. Geology & Origin
Moonstone (Feldspar group, Oligoclase/Adularia) forms in pegmatitic or hydrothermally influenced veins within aluminum-rich magmatic environments. In Mexico, several localities host pegmatitic systems that allow the development of these light-scattering Feldspar minerals.
