Hatchite crystals from the Lengenbach Quarry, Binntal, Valais, Switzerland –  miniature specimen as unique piece, EDS analysed.

This miniature specimen with Hatchite crystals from the Lengenbach Quarry displays finely distributed, dark crystal aggregates set in a light-colored contrasting matrix. The crystals are small but clearly recognizable as distinct mineral phases, standing out sharply against the host rock. The marked EDS analysis confirms the mineralogical identification and emphasizes the well-documented, scientific nature of this single specimen. The specimen originates from the documented find number L-21437, collected in 1995, providing clear and traceable provenance.

Geology & Origin

This locality is internationally renowned for its exceptional diversity of complex sulfosalt minerals formed under alpine metamorphic conditions. The crystals shown here originate from this classic occurrence in the Binntal, Valais, Switzerland, and exemplify the outstanding mineralogical significance of the Lengenbach Quarry.
