Geology & Origin
Gladhammar in Kalmar County, Sweden, is a classic ore locality known for complex bismuth-, lead-, copper- and sulfur-bearing mineralization. The locality is particularly noted for rare bismuth sulfosalts, including Gladite and Aikinite. These minerals occur in hydrothermal ore mineralization together with additional sulfides and associated minerals, making Gladhammar an interesting mineralogical locality.
