Geology & Origin

The set illustrates different forms of fossil preservation: shells, teeth, and coral remains may become buried in sediment and preserved in rock. Amber is fossilized tree resin and forms through a different process. Together, the specimens offer an introduction to the variety of life forms and preservation processes found in Earth’s history.
