Geology & Origin

Epididymite is a rare beryllium-sodium silicate found mainly in alkaline, beryllium-rich rocks and pegmatites. Mt. Malosa near Zomba is an internationally known locality for rare minerals and unusual crystal formations in alkaline pegmatites. The complex composition of these rocks enabled the formation of Epididymite and numerous other rare mineral species.
