Embedded Emplectite crystals from Krupka, Czech Republic – miniature specimen as unique piece

This small cabinet specimen shows embedded Emplectite crystals with a dark grey to silvery metallic appearance in a light-colored, partly translucent matrix. The crystals stand out clearly from the surrounding rock and form compact areas with a metallic luster. This unique specimen comes from Krupka in the Czech Republic.

Geology & Origin

Emplectite is a rare copper-bismuth sulfide that forms primarily in hydrothermal ore veins, where it may occur in association with other bismuth, copper, and sulfide minerals. Krupka in the Ore Mountains is a historically important mining district, particularly known for its tin-tungsten mineralization and numerous rarer associated minerals.
