This micromount specimen with an Edenite crystal from Wilberforce, Ontario, Canada, features a compact, dark-colored single crystal fragment on a light base. The Edenite occurs in massive to crystalline form, displaying typical dark green to blackish-grey tones with slightly lustrous surface areas.
The crystal is clearly recognizable, even though it is not a fully developed, free-standing crystal. The surface still shows crystalline structures and fracture features that reflect the typical habit of this mineral.
