Embedded Denningite crystals from Mina Bambolla, Moctezuma, Mexico – miniature specimen as unique piece

This small cabinet specimen features embedded Denningite crystals from the Mina Bambolla near Moctezuma, Mexico. The specimen is set on a light colored, partly slightly translucent matrix with warm beige to brownish tones. Within a small cavity, fine greenish shimmering crystal areas are visible, adding a subtle yet attractive color accent.

The Denningite crystals appear as embedded, fine crystalline to granular structures. They occur as delicate greenish aggregates concentrated within the matrix, forming a visually interesting mineralized zone. The crystals are clearly developed and contribute to the natural and appealing appearance of the specimen.

Geology & Origin

Denningite is a rare tellurite mineral typically formed in the oxidized zones of hydrothermal ore deposits. It develops as a secondary mineral through the alteration of primary tellurium bearing minerals under oxidizing conditions.

The Moctezuma area in Sonora, Mexico, is world renowned for its exceptional diversity of rare tellurium and selenium minerals. Localities such as Mina Bambolla regularly yield rare and highly collectible mineral species with interesting parageneses.
