A huge, well-crystallized, Native Copper Crystal Cluster. Over 30 cm long!

This section of the long-closed, open-pit mine was mined out decades before the closure. Large crystallized specimens are very rare now.

Ex Jim Thomas Collection. Jim wrote the Master Class article on the New Cornelia mine, where he worked for decades, in the Mineralogical Record.

This specimen was priced at $2000 originally, but we held it for a decade as a memento of our friendship with Mr Jim Thomas.
