Geologie & Herkunft
Coalingite is a rare magnesium aluminum carbonate hydroxide that forms in serpentinite environments. It develops at low temperatures through hydrothermal alteration processes, where ultramafic rocks react with CO₂-rich fluids. The Toba region in Mie Prefecture is known for such geological settings, where characteristic secondary minerals form in complex alteration zones.
