Geologie & Herkunft

Clinoptilolite belongs to the zeolite group and forms in volcanic rocks through the alteration of volcanic ash by alkaline, water-rich solutions. These processes lead to the development of characteristic porous structures within the host rock. The Ajo region in Arizona is known for such volcanic environments where zeolites form in cavities and pore spaces.
