Embedded Clinohumite crystals from Pargas, Finland – micromount as unique piece

This micromount specimen with embedded Clinohumite crystals from Pargas, Finland, shows an attractive contrast between the light, partly translucent matrix and the embedded warm orange brown crystals. The Clinohumite crystals appear as small but clearly recognizable grains and aggregates irregularly distributed within the rock.

The crystals are clearly visible and display a strong coloration that stands out well against the surrounding material. Despite their small size, the crystalline nature is well defined, and the surface appears lively due to the distribution of the individual crystal areas.

Geology & Origin

Clinohumite belongs to the humite group and typically forms in magnesium rich metamorphic rocks, often associated with contact metamorphism. The locality Pargas in Finland is known for a variety of rare minerals formed under such conditions. The embedded crystals reflect formation within a solid rock environment and are characteristic of this geological setting.
