Bermanite and Laueite crystals from Hagendorf Süd, Bavaria, Germany – miniature specimen as unique piece

This miniature specimen combines the rare phosphate minerals Bermanite and Laueite from the famous Hagendorf Süd locality. Small crystal formations and crystalline coatings are visible on the matrix, creating an attractive contrast with the dark host rock. Although the crystals are small, they are clearly developed and make the specimen an interesting collector's item for enthusiasts of rare secondary phosphates.

Geology & Origin

Bermanite and Laueite form as secondary iron manganese phosphates within the oxidation zone of phosphate-rich pegmatites. Hagendorf Süd is one of the world's most important phosphate mineral localities and has yielded numerous first descriptions and scientifically significant discoveries. Complex geochemical processes within the pegmatites led to the formation of an exceptional diversity of rare mineral species. This specimen originates from this classic German locality and represents the characteristic phosphate paragenesis of the deposit.
