Geology & Origin

Beaverite is a secondary sulfate mineral that typically forms in the oxidation zone of sulfide ore deposits. It develops through weathering and alteration processes affecting primary ore minerals under the influence of sulfate-rich solutions. Localities in the Beaver area of Utah are known for various minerals from such oxidized ore environments. The specimens in this flat document different forms of this secondary mineralization.

The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
