Geology & Origin
Bazhenovite is a rare titanium-bearing silicate mineral that forms under specific geochemical conditions in complex ore-bearing and metamorphic rocks. The Kopeysk region in the southern Ural Mountains is known for numerous rare mineral species and has produced several scientifically important discoveries. This specimen originates from this classic Russian mineral district and represents a mineral that is only rarely available on the collector market.
