Geology & Origin
Banalsite is a rare silicate mineral that forms in manganese-rich metamorphic rocks. The Langban deposit in Sweden is one of the world's most important mineral localities and is renowned for its extraordinary number of rare mineral species. Complex geochemical conditions led to the formation of numerous unique mineral assemblages. Banalsite is among the characteristic rarities of this classic locality and is highly valued by collectors worldwide.
