Arseniosiderite and Scorodite xls crystals from Wernigerode, Harz, Germany– miniature specimen as unique piece

This small cabinet specimen features Arseniosiderite and Scorodite from Wernigerode, Harz Mountains, Germany. The piece shows a diverse surface with earthy to crystalline areas in warm brown, ochre, and greenish tones. Arseniosiderite and Scorodite crystals occur in irregular patches on the matrix, giving the specimen a lively and structurally varied appearance. The contrast between compact and finely crystalline zones creates an appealing visual depth.

Geology & origin

The Harz Mountains are among the classic ore districts of Central Europe, known for complex hydrothermal mineralization. Arseniosiderite and Scorodite form as secondary minerals through weathering processes of arsenic rich primary ores. Under oxidizing conditions, characteristic mineral aggregates develop, often occurring in porous or crusty structures.
