Arsendescloizite crystals from the C+B Mine, AZ, USA– miniature specimen as unique piece

This miniature specimen features Arsendescloizite crystals from the C+B Mine, Arizona, USA. Numerous small orange to reddish brown crystals are scattered across the dark matrix, occurring partly as individual crystals and partly in loose aggregates. The crystals are well developed and create an interesting and detailed appearance.

Geology & origin

The C+B Mine in Arizona is a classic locality for secondary lead and zinc minerals formed in the oxidation zones of sulfide deposits. Arsendescloizite develops through the alteration of primary ore minerals under oxidizing conditions and is typically associated with other rare arsenate minerals. The region is well known for its diversity of vividly colored secondary minerals and consistently produces collectible specimens.
