Amethyst crystals from Brazi– miniature specimen as unique piece
This miniature specimen shows intensely purple Amethyst crystals from Brazil, forming a dense and clearly visible crystal group across the entire surface. The crystals display transparent to translucent faces with typical prismatic shapes and strong color zoning, shifting from deep purple centers to lighter lavender tones toward the edges. The well-formed crystal tips reflect light prominently, giving the specimen a lively and sparkling appearance.
Geology & Origin
In Brazil, Amethyst typically forms inside cavities of volcanic rocks, especially within quartz and agate geodes found in basaltic formations. Silica-rich hydrothermal fluids fill these cavities, and under suitable temperature and pressure conditions they crystallize into the characteristic purple quartz. Brazil is considered one of the world’s most important sources of high-quality Amethyst geodes and continues to produce aesthetic crystal specimens of all sizes.
