Geology & Origin

Laurion is one of the world's most famous classic mineral localities and has been renowned since antiquity for its rich lead, silver, and copper ore deposits. The oxidation of these ore bodies produced an exceptional diversity of secondary minerals, including Adamite, Rosasite, and numerous other rare mineral species. Today, Laurion remains internationally recognized for its outstanding mineral diversity and historical importance.
