Compact portable polariscope for examining optical properties of gemstones and other transparent materials. The device is especially suitable for mobile gemological work and for collectors or dealers. The pocket polariscope includes flashlight illumination powered by two AA batteries, allowing easy observation of polarization effects. A cuvette is also included to extend the possible applications. Thanks to its compact design the device can be easily transported and stored in the supplied pouch.

Application notes
The polariscope is used to examine optical properties of gemstones, minerals and other transparent materials. The stone is positioned between the polarization filters and illuminated with the flashlight. By rotating the polarization position, polarization effects can be observed.
