Agardite-(Y) crystals from Germany – micromount as unique piece

This unique piece features bright green, radiating Agardite-(Y) crystals set on a transparent quartz matrix. The fine, needle-like aggregates form well-defined, symmetrical rosettes that create a strong color contrast against the clear matrix. Presented as a micromount, this specimen is especially suited for collectors of rare mineral species in aesthetic display quality.

The specimen comes from the Clara Mine in the Black Forest, Germany, one of Europe’s most famous and mineralogically diverse localities. Agardite-(Y) belongs to the Agardite group, a subgroup of rare earth minerals, and is yttrium-dominant. It crystallizes in the hexagonal system and occurs as acicular to fibrous, intensely colored aggregates. The Clara Mine is renowned for its exceptional variety of mineral species, with over 400 documented, including many rarities such as Agardite-(Y).
