Tiger’s Eye from South Africa – 1 unique piece

This specimen features a large piece of Tiger’s Eye from South Africa with a strongly fibrous, silky-shimmering structure and intense golden-brown coloration. The undulating, rhythmic banding is clearly visible and creates the characteristic chatoyance that makes Tiger’s Eye highly valued among collectors. The sizeable surface highlights the internal texture, while the natural fracture faces emphasize the geological authenticity of the material.

Geology & Origin

Tiger’s Eye forms through the transformation of fibrous amphiboles, which become silicified and later colored by iron oxides. The South African deposits are among the world’s most classic and well-known sources of high-quality Tiger’s Eye. Tectonic deformation produces the parallel fiber structures and banding clearly visible in this impressive specimen.

The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
