delivery & shipping costs

Transaction time:

I try to ship within 5 business days, but travel and collecting trips can delay this. Please advise me if orders are of critical nature (like you are prepping for a big show). I do not add a ‘handling charge’ and all orders are packaged with the utmost care that 30 years shipping experience can give….however please realize that once a parcel leaves my hands, its handling leaves my control. I advise insuring your parcel for its full value, but those costs are up to you.

**** Please note: overseas parcels that are sent with the title ‘geological specimens for study purposes only, zero commercial value’ cannot be insured and you as the customer must bear the full risk of possible damage and destruction of your minerals. Small parcels of less than 4 pounds weight can be sent via global priority mail very economically and in my experience the less time a parcel is in transit ,the less time they have to drop a refrigerator on it, and the more reliably it arrives intact.

Shipping & handling, charges and delivery methods:

The speed, reliability, cost and condition in which you receive your parcel is most determined by method chosen for shipper; my first 2 choices are:

1. United States post office (USPS)

cost effective, especially on smaller parcels and quick, again especially on smaller parcels, via priority mail.

2. United Parcel Service (UPS)

unbeaten reliability, automatically insured for 1st $100; cost effective for parcels over 10 pounds.

Again, your choice of shipping service (ie usps parcel post vs ups next day air am delivery) is the determining factor as to how quickly you will receive your shipment. and again the cost is borne by you.

Most of the goods ordered from my online shop will be shipped directly from Gilbert, AZ 85234. Some however depending upon your urgency and my inventory will be drop shipped from my vendors; for items ordered via links to my partner, Mikon, in Germany, shipping charges will depend upon your chosen method of shipment and again, urgency. if you can wait (possibly up to several months) for my regular pallet shipment, shipping costs can be greatly defrayed by my bulk rate. Please discuss this option with me at your first opportunity so we can get your items on the very next pallet coming.

Delivery and delays
The selection of our products in our internet store is relatively large. Shipping and handling costs are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.
